Zoo Lights in Portland
Perfect night! It was cold and crisp outside but the sky was clear and starlit and the moon was shining. We had hot coco and enjoyed seeing all the lights and some animals too!
Christmas Tree Cutting
The next day, Grandma B made us a breakfast feast and we went and choose our Christmas tree at the tree farm next door. It was a cold crisp frosty morning, another perfect gift.
Decorating the Tree
The tree decorations have been evolving. Daddy wrapped all the branches in lights (Gabriel helped check them ahead of time to make sure they were all working) and Mommy hung all the ornaments (one of my favorite traditions each year). As the days have progressed, our sweet two year old had added his own contributions to the tree...
Some of the new additions...
A 'dirty' sock...
A domino...
He loves steeling the birdies off the tree...
Some blocks...
And a potato!
Didn't you know that potatoes are great to decorate with?
We hope you are enjoying the simple joys this year and cherishing the little moments along the way.

This is hilarious! Love all the pictures of Gabriel smiling so, and wow ! you are brave to venture into the cold for the zoo lights -- but oh so pretty!
Love it! I do hope you left his contributions on the tree! Well, maybe not the potato. :)
Yes, the blocks, sock and domino are still there! ;o)
Toby must have been teaching Gabriel about Jesus, the Potato of Life. :)
